Exhausted and Frustrated

Oct 24, 2011 15:08

I'm agitated overall in the world. Last week I thought I was sooo close to having work, that I didn't want to say anything. Now I haven't heard back from contacts that I thought were golden and were going to cause everything to fall into place ( Read more... )

Banks are dumb, and their rules are dumb, and what it ultimately comes down to is that they don't care about anything but getting as much money out of you as they can, fair, legal, or what not makes no difference to them.

I know they are in it for profit. I miss the days when we meaning through my dad knew people in the bank who could actually do stuff, or change stuff in the system, like setting up the repayment plan without sending me out to abudabi for an approval and then a stamp of approval from Oregon of whereever the hell they are.

Chase sucks. They will actually bang on your door sometimes to try and get payment. They are not good to deal with...

Sorry you are going through what you are going through. I know EXACTLY how you feel.

Ugh Chase is soo fucking annoying. This was originally a WaMu loan.

I have already not liked them, between their tactic to attempt for me to refinance, when we had good credit like mid 700s and we failed a prequal last year. Or how at times when the branch is empty and I go in to make a payment how I feel strong armed as they try to pitch me to open a checking account, when oo in 2005 you didn't want my business.

It's like trying to explain why I have TWO Chase credit cards, like how did they let that happen. Uhh one was chase, and one was providian that became Wamu that became Chase.

Ugh they are such a clusterfuck.

aw man, that sucks. my only reaction though is shock... 3500? every month? I can't imagine anyone wouldn't be scraping by with that kind of monthly bill geez. is that a normal mortgage price?

The number is a touch high, but there are a few things to keep in mind, we live in NYC, our home is a two family so we have rental income ( ... )

oh, gotcha. Sounds a lot like the houses in California.

I am kinda new at the whole home ownership idea. My parents never owned, and husband's parents are never going to pay off their house. We scraped by an approval (that we aren't taking) for a 180 K loan with 50 thousand down... we barely scraped by because we don't have any credit. apparently that speaks more about you than a large down payment. :rolls eyes:

the payment would have been one thousand a month, not including taxes and utilities. no thank you. that is too much!

I have been following what you've been posting in terms of your housing adventures.

Some things that I have thought of while they communicate about your lack of 'credit' it's also you have nothing keeping you in the area, ie if you skip out on/foreclose on the mortgage you have no family/ties to the community. Additionally, they may not see your dh's job as a long term secure position. (Having longevity and or growth potential to guarantee their money).

$1k a month is what you pay for like a cheap two bedroom apartment in someones house plus utilities. It's actually what my tenant pays although I could get more for the apartment.

You also have to understand(my dad's in real estate for the past thirty years) so many mortgage companies and banks got screwed in this whole foreclosure crash. Banks are being super conservative as to giving loans, and even working with lenders which is a shame in the big picture.

I've heard NOTHING but bad things about Chase. I know they're a business and they want a profit, but their reputation stinks.

Unfortunately, our original loan was with WaMu so it's not like we 'chose to go with them'.

I had already not liked them, between their tactic to attempt for me to refinance, when we had good credit like mid 700s and we failed a prequal last year. Or how at times when the branch is empty and I go in to make a payment how I feel strong armed as they try to pitch me to open a checking account, when oo in 2005 you didn't want my business.

nooo the payment was 46 days late the letter was dated October 12. This was more so regarding the MIA September payment, which I made good on.

I was trying to get myself in there, to say 'look I know my payment is late, I am accountable for that, please work with me'. I don't want a loan modification which is similar to a refinance, ie I don't want them doing an appraisal, or coming into my home. nor do I want to extend the legnth of my loan. I simply want to essentially pay one months payment over time. ugh
