Frustration

Is not knowing what the hell you want to do. I have been to three colleges off and on for the past four going on five years now. What to know what's utterly frustrating about this? I have taken enough classes to have gotten a basic degree by now. But because of my utter lack of direction, all my various credits at other colleges either don't ( Read more... )

*hug* stress and frustration suck. working sucks too, especially when your boss ignores you. *hugs again*

your classes are really all over the place. have you considered sociology? a lot of what you've taken, while maybe not applying to the degree, would be good background for it. (even the music stuff!)

I'm sorry you feel like you don't have a direction. I can relate in a way.

I really hope it all comes together for you soon. And that you get your cubicle moved.

*hugs* I struggle with that frustration constantly. There were several days where I walked all the way to class, stood outside for all of about twenty seconds, realized I was about to cry, and walked allll the way back to my car just to sit there and do so ( ... )

Mrrr. I hear you on that. We should start our own jobs! With Giant robots!

My main issue is doing what I want... and not what I think will make other people happy. I just need to figure out what I want...

I know exactly how you feel college-wise... I settled for a basic 'associates' degree and... yeah... Now that I have the money to go back, I'm not sure I even want to since I don't have focus so I'd just be wasting money :<
I figure, if some day I come upon my 'dream job' I'll find out what it takes deggee wise to get there, and take classes specifically for that - but till then, not gonna bother. I'll spend my money on anime and videogames in the mean time :3

Ugh. I know. For now, we have decided to go back to the last college we were at and just continue with it. Mostly, to see if it's even something I want to do. My problem is a lack of self esteem. I just need to at least try the classes before I deem them failure and move along.

*nod* Still, it's good to have focus. Dad used to tell me that college was my ticket to a good job... maybe back in his day sure. I've had friends go to college and get a bachelors in something like history or the arts and have to go back and train in something that was actually in demand so they could avoid getting a McJob :-/
