Sorry. You're right, that is the definition of it. I started using it that way because of Evan...and forgot that it probably needed explanation. The difference between "literate" RPG and everything else is that the stuff considered "literate" is actually interesting to read, has a plot, and follows the conventions of writing. The other stuff just outlines actions (attacks, walking, etc.) without telling a story. At least, that's how I've been led to understand it. Also, I use the word to mean "having the ability to write in a coherent, engaging fashion", as in Mind's Eye. I should probably use a different word.
