It's okay to celebrate... it just does have a reason behind it. A legitimate one. A serious one.

That's a good thing; don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Sometimes a hot meal and a nice chat are all it takes to make everything better. And even if it doesn't--it's the thought that counts, as they say, but more than that... it does help. Because, eventually, one of those people will do something important, somewhere, sometime, for someone, and that one blissful moment might be the entire reason it came about.

[pause; wryly] Oh, great. Now I'm getting ridiculously sentimental. Am I really getting that old?
