I have more than one of these.
Rep: OMG! Is broken! Fix now pls!
Us : That's because you forgot to tell us A and B when you put in the order. Send us the info and we'll get right on it.

That sounds an awful lot like MOST of the people I work with, actually.

And bitching about it yields me, "Y u not follow up? U no they teh dum."

I swear to God, I get that all the time.

It got so bad that I hung a sign on my cubby at work stating, "If you don't have all the info I need, I don't have time to work on your problem."

I later had to amend it to tell them EXACTLY what I needed from them.

Retards...

It's not without reason that I used to have another sign (I have since been told to take it down) that read:

"We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much with so little for so long that we are now qualified to do everything with nothing." (or words to that effect, my husband knows the whole thing, which was the motto of his civil engineering shop in the Air Force)

In my industry it is expected that the day that a report has to come out we will be spending that very morning asking the client for more information to finish our work....that we have asked for a million times already....

never, ever fails.

We would never allow that scenario to get past line 3. After the first deafening silence, we would be proactive about contacting the Rep again asking for A and B, CC'ing Rep's Manager.
