I don't want Cordy to die!

I think I've finally realized what has gotten in the way of me finishing my watch of AtS: Cordy dying. She is my favorite character! I absolutely love her; I even loved her when she was a demon because she was kind of kickass and I loved her little witch-y battle with Willow, so I don't want her to die. I don't want to ( Read more... )

*Hugs you*

It is horrible knowing what is coming and not being able to change it. Maybe you should watch the rest of S5 and save YW for last or save it for the next to last episode. At least then you'll still have something to look forward to after sitting through some of the crappiest episodes ever which come after YW. You may decide just to quit after YW and you should at least finish since you've said you do want to no matter how painful it may be. Sheesh. What we put up with for the love of a show.

Thanks for the hugs. *hugs back*

That actually sounds like a very sound idea. I really do want to finish the show, but I'm just so hesitant about what's to come. Knowing that Cordy dies is one of the worst things ever, but I can't imagine going through the eps not knowing and then watching YW and being shocked, so I guess in a way I'm lucky. But I think I might try it the way you said. Watch everything and leave YW for second to last and then the finale. It might not be entirely enjoyable for me that way, especially because I'm dying to watch the ep, but it would certainly be for the best. *sigh*

We certainly do put up with a lot for our shows, but I wouldn't have it any other way. :D Sometimes it pays off in the end. ;)

You're Welcome was the only s5 episode I watched. Believe me, you don't need to watch the rest to complete the series, since without Cordelia, and with Angel helming Evil, Inc. it's not the same show anyway. :)

YW is one of the most emotionally satisfying and painful episodes you'll ever watch in terms of C/A - but omg, those last ten minutes are unlike anything else, and totally worth the pain. There was no doubt that they loved each other, passionately and forever, whatever else happens. You are left with this sense that they would never have willingly left each other and (oh, bring on the cheese!) that only death would be able to crowbar them apart. *sniff*

I fucking love my ship.

I get that feeling with the bit of S5 that I've watched, but I sort of want to complete the experience of Angel, even though I basically agree with you. I'd feel like I was giving up on the show. :/

*sigh* The way you describe YW makes me just want to skip straight to it!!! Guhhhh, such a hard decision. :( I'll get through it though! I have to! I can't not watch the ep, no matter what happens and I know that I'll come out of it being more of a hardcore C/A shipper than before! I just know it!!!
