I don't really know what I can say about The X-Files. Anyone who knows me, knows that The X-Files is my all-time favorite show. For me, nothing beats it. Of course there are shows that have come close -- Angel, House, Glee -- but in the end it all comes back to XF for me. It was epic in all the right ways. Fantastic, brilliant writing. Characters that were so filled with passion and despair and hope that they were easy to follow and get invested in. Absolutely fantastic stories that to this day creep me out. I don't think I've ever been as scared from a show as I was with The X-Files. I can go back, even now, and watch an episode I've seen at least 3 times and still get creeped out by the MOTW. It's just that great! And then there's Mulder and Scully. My all-time favorite OTP ever! They were brilliant in so many ways. I love how they began their relationship. They were new to each other just the like the show was new to us. They grew in front of our eyes from strangers to friends who trusted each other with their lives like no one else to lovers who in the end found everything in each other. What they experienced as a couple and as friends only brought them closer together, and for me the journey of that, watching them grow as characters and as a couple was absolutely beautiful that it made me fall in love with them like I have no other ship. They're my number one, and I love them and the show for giving me that.
