If I liked oranges more, this would be delicious. But it does give me some ideas for improving our Ohio Lemon Pie recipe.

I'm not a big fan of pretty much any fruit or vegetable until its been thoroughly flavored somehow. I can't recall why on earth I decided to buy a slice of chocolate-covered candied orange at some point during college, but I fell in love.

The candying process works pretty much exactly the same for any citrus fruit, so you could do lemons, limes, etc. If nothing else, they make pretty fancy decorations for things, and I've also seen suggestions for using the syrup for flavoring tea among other things. What's your Ohio Lemon Pie recipe?

It's just Joy of Cooking's recipe. You soak thin lemon slices in sugar for hours and put them in a pie. But some people think it's too strong of a flavor so I was wondering idly about other ways to sweeten them up.
