Is it better to watch Torchwood concurrently with or consecutively after actual Dr. Who seasons?

And does Rose get replaced or at least less stupid? XD

I think Torchwood starts up with season 3 of Doctor Who. There are a few crossover things, but not too much. I would probably watch it concurrently with Doctor Who if you can, or just go season 3 of DW, Season 1 of TW. But that's just my opinion.

I have issues with Rose, mostly because I don't get why she's so great. Plus her mouth just bothers me, it's so big. Def not my fave companion, but I know and respect a lot of people that love her, so it's a matter of personal taste I think.

Im almost done second season so I'll probably get Torchwoods too.

Heh, I really have no other companions to compare Rose to so - well other than that idiot who put a hole in his forehead so if thats the case I guess shes actually good lol!

Rose gets worse. Prepare yourself. And here I thought roommate-Julie and I were the only people on the planet that can't stand Rose...*grimace*

First season of Torchwood comes after the first Tennant season of Dr. Who. Second season of Torchwood comes after the Martha Jones season of Who. I would watch them in that order. But really, Torchwood stands alone and you could watch it anytime.

Torchwood is in possession of a Deathstar superlaser, I'd watch it regardless but was wondering the order XD

I think my problem with her is she has an annoying sense of entitlement and no instinct for self preservation. She'd have been dead by episode 3 in the Stargate world let alone BSG =P

(Also, Earth being taken over by farting fat aliens has got to be the most embarrassing invasion ever.)

I'd say watch Torchwood / Who in the order they aired. Pretty sure mints4friends has it right, but you can always check the air dates on the Wikipedia episode lists. Just don't read any spoilers from the synopses.

I don't really hate Rose, but I'm not a big fan either. I think the companions later on are better, and you'll probably find them more to your liking.
