It's Midsummer soon. I've made no plans for the Eve, I'll probably end up staying at home watching quality BBC dramas on DVD and eating a lot & drinking some rosé wine. As most of you know, I'd prefer to be out of the country anyway, but as it's not possible this year, I'll just try to really relax for a while ( Read more... )

I have no specified plans for the Eve either, so mind if I join you for a time? I could bring a bottle of good wine and summat to eat.

Well, considering that I'll be in Nousiainen (yes, I should've been a bit more specific with "home")... I'd love to have you over here, but I guess you won't be able to leave the kitty family for a whole evening & night. And I suppose I won't be able to drive you back home later in the evening, either. ;) Shame, though. It would've been good to sit down and have a proper chat over good wine and other goodies.

(Check the photos in the previous post to see why I'm not spending the Eve at home... I can't fit in! :D And what's even worse - I've no way of preserving any foodstuffs.)

Ah, so the kitchen renovation is in progress. Well, then, I'll stay and enjoy the kitty family and maybe watch some BSG. Or invite some choice friends over.

As for a proper chat over good wine and other goodies, that will definitely have to be arranged in the not too distant future. Perhaps chez moi?

Yes, the chaotic mess that is my apartment is not a fit place for any kind of celebrations... :/ (Yet, that is.)

Chez toi sounds good for wine & goodies soon. (The kitties are tiny enough to not be scary, either. Hehe.) And some quality time at the Castle is also required soonish. :D We'll get back to this after we've survived the Midsummer, ok?

I'm leaving for my mother's tomorrow straight from work and I'll be spending Midsummer at her place. I'm still feeling a bit surprised I got the entire Midsummer weekend free, and I didn't even request for it. I guess I've gotten so used to working every bl**dy holiday for about a year and a half now :P...

Are you coming to Finncon BTW?

I'm so glad you got one holiday off! :) Even though I must admit that I think Midsummer is rather a boring holiday. Or at least it is to me, as I don't know anyone with a summer cottage I could visit. Besides, I've always found Midsummer to be the most annoying holiday to spend as single.

Yes, I'm coming to Finncon - I've got a hotel room booked from Friday to Monday. ;) I'm planning on going to a few museums etc. as well, kinda like a short City Holiday in Helsinki. :) I'll bring you your books - I'm sooooo terribly sorry and embarrassed that I've kept them so long. :(

Well, there wasn't really that much to do during the weekend. We barbecued, had new potatoes and herring, warmed up the sauna, I read several books and just relaxed in general.

NP about the books, though I am glad to get them back :). See you at Finncon!
