Which reminds me. . . right before your Weekend from the Smoky Regions of Hell, you arranged a yarn/crochet exchange with me. Is the yarn for that on the way, or did it get pushed to a back burner? (I'm fine either way - you've had a lot on your plate, and I was not actually paying for the yarn. But if I'm going to make you a hat, it's better if I do it before March 19th, when i go back to work.)

I need to know how much yarn you'll need for the hat!

My head is 22.5inches/57cm around, if that helps.

One skein should do it, but if you're concerned about quantity, send two. I got three infant hats out of one skein of melée, if that's anything to go by, and they're a little more than half that diameter.

Yay! And forgive me if we set a number and I forgot - but how many skein am I trading you for?

hey sweetie, is my dark grotto (the 1 skein that was still drying before you left for your honeymoonaversary) dry yet? Have you mailed it yet?

It's mailed!

Also - after this I'm going to do away with dark and light grotto and just have one GROTTO colourway. The dark and light are only really different on the Mikado yarn so it's silly to have two.

Yeah. What also freaks me out is that sometimes mail gets to New York before it gets to someone who lives near me in Seattle.

I've had odd things like this happen to me... I had a package from make it from the West Coast toe me (on the far east coast) overnight! And then I've had a package take something like 3 or 4 months.

I get my yarn in the mail in about a week. (I've timed it)

have you looked at using UPS or DHL to do International shipping?

we have the exact same problem within the US.

we used to deal with people on EBAY and they would think that soon as they paid via pay pal it was there over night. NO you didn't pay for over night shipping, you paid regular service/air shipping expect it to take up to 3-5 weeks. Some were lucky, they would get it within 2-5 days. It all depends on where you are located.

Once I sent a package to Memphis TN and it only took 3 days. LOL but a letter, it was actually opened up at the border, and torn apart...she never got it.
