How good is their laceweight and fingering weight? I need to make two sets of illusion knit socks, one in pink and purple and one in green and purple. I'm still new in buying yarn but I don't want to order something that won't meet my expectations.

It's really, really soft. Like Crazy Soft.

It is a single-ply, so it might end up pilling a little bit more (would happen less if you got the superwash) but it's so nice on your hands.

For socks, I'd get the fingering weight.
