The Yarns, part 3

Apr 24, 2009 13:01

... trying to catch up to where I am in game! So more Yarn family updates for you!!! <3

Last times with the Yarns
Scuba: part 1, part 2

And now ...

Wisteria: I didn't get a bath this morning *pout* And now my hair is purple!

Scuba: Sophie! So glad you could come over, you're my bestest friend!

Scuba and Sophie: *gaze contentedly*

Huckleberry: ahhh, a bath to myself :D Just what I needed after a long day at school.

Wisteria, on the other hand, had a different sort of hankering.
Wisteria: Pancakes!!! Oh boy!!! +500!

Oooh, great face Huckleberry! Are you unhappy?

Huckleberry: I'm so angry! I never get anything I want! *stomps feet*
Poor Huckleberry, he doesn't seem to realize that he's in the purple generation, where I meet their wants and wishes *every day* (Never mind that fire in the last update that seriously upset both kids.)

Huckleberry and Wisteria: *minus minus*
...this is what happened when I told one to tell the other a joke. >.< A tad bit grouchy are we??

Huckleberry: Weee! Playing with the car all by myself!

Wisteria: So the Papa said to the little boy, "Go away! Do not bother the princess anymore!"

After some quiet time, they have the following conversation...
Wisteria: Huckleberry, don't you ever just wish you could take a trip far far away?

Huckleberry Totally! If only we had suitcases to put our stuff in. We could build our own house!

Wisteria: And I've got this great idea! We could stack the bricks on top of eachother!

Wisteria: And I'm big and strong, I could totally do it.
Huckleberry: *Nods agreeably* We would need some glue.

Huckleberry: .... strong glue!
Wisteria: *wonders where to get this strong glue. And some suitcases*

They continue keeping up with school, which is a sort of magical considering the chaos of their earlier years. Wisteria gleefully completes hers. They even want to do homework on the weekend after they've already finished Friday's assignment!

Scuba hasn't completely given up hope of becoming an athlete, but let's be honest it's getting rather unlikely. He's not getting any younger and there just haven't been any opportunities to try, especially once the twins arrived. He scans the newspapers for little treasure-ful tidbits and does his best to stay informed. He's almost ready to admit that he makes a better treasure hunter than he would an athlete ... but not quite yet.

/dollhouse spam.

I love that they're playing nice now, after that conversation about traveling and building and being strong ... Coming out of toddlerhood they barely had a relationship and it was off to a rocky start earlier. I can't quite tell with Wisteria though, she seems torn between wanting to ship Huckleberry away and running away with him!

moooore homework.

Wisteria: *is proud* My Papa is so smart and now I am too!

Huckleberry: Who put the car there?? I want to call my friends!!! I can't reach the phooone!

Huckleberry: Oh ... it's you.

Wisteria: Wheee! *ignores Huckleberry*

And yes, we still do sometimes fail at treasure hunting:

Sophie: Wanna go on a hot dream date, darlin'?
Scuba: Yes please! *calls nanny*

Apparently the game sent two?! More twin not sharing, lol!

So Scuba heads out to meet Sophie at the park in the Valley.

They seem to be enjoying themselves mightily!
Scuba: Beautiful Sophie, would you like to dance with me?
Sophie: Here? With no music? ... Why I'd love to!!

Scuba and Sophie: *kiss passionately*

When suddenly Mrs. Crumplebottom shows up! Hello, since when do you hang out at the park in the Valley, Mrs. Crumplebottom?

AaaahH! Scuba is startled!

Then just as quickly as she appeared, Mrs. Crumplebottom ran off across the park. Whatever could be so urgent??

Clearly, another young woman needed to be smacked with the purse.

They decide to head back to Scuba's place. He tells Sophie he wants to be able to kiss her without her being attacked (which is true!), but really, he's just exhausted.
Sophie: Mmmm, Scuba is hot stuff! *frames him with her hands*

See?!

He recovers enough to make the ever-beloved pancakes for the twins, while Sophie stares at .... uh. Sophie, what are you staring at?

Oh yes, Scuba's shelf of treasures. Glad you're so impressed.

Sophie: You sure have got a lot of interesting stuff on that shelf in the other room, Scuba. Where did you get it all? Those maps look really old!
Scuba: It is impressive, isn't it? I'm just the world's best treasure hunter Sophie! I know a priceless treasure when I see one!
*smooch*

Since Scuba passed out from exhaustion after their "relaxing time" in the bedroom, Sophie decided to walk around the house in her underwear and get to know the twins.
Wisteria: My papa is my bestest bestest friend. Do you have a bestest bestest friend?

Sophie: Well, yeah. But I also like to paint! I saw you guys have an easel, did you paint that picture? It's so pretty!
Wisteria: You know what? *claps hands*

Wisteria: I don't like painting. My brother did that.
Sophie: *minus*

That's right Sophie. You just stand there in your underwear talking to Wisteria about something her brother did. That'll really win her over.

On that note, Wisteria decided to steal her Papa's bed and sprawled out for the night.

Next time with the Yarns: We're out and about, you never know what treasure you might find at the grocery store!
