I honestly believe that overuse of texting is downgrading proper communication more than anything since Instant Messanger and chat rooms.

There was a Boondocks where they said nothing that's ever been worth reading has been typed by somebody's thumbs. Food for thought, texting is good for nonsensical stuff, loud environments, snide comments to friends in the same room that are socially inappropriate to say out loud and situation where a phone call isn't necessary, but serious business should be handled face to face ideally, phone calls are okay, even letters, yes old timey though the post office letters, seem a better way to resolve conflict than do text messages.
