This is awesome in that, "I need more!!!" way! Brilliant job, as usual. Have I ever told you that I save your stuff to read for times when I need really good fic?

In just these few words, the tone you struck feels like what I hope Halo 4 will be. I know this is from Cortana's pov and all, but did you purposely mimic 343's intentions to focus more on John's humanity here? I mean, your shippy elements are nothing new, but it's just... I guess I'm kinda hoping that subtle shippiness like this will be... "more canon?"

Guh. Watching that trailer and reading this has made me way too giddy about this game when I fear it so! ; P

Um...not really? The question about how she is doing was meant to be see from Cortana as a "caring gesture", but I thought of it as more of a logical question from John (as in, "Do I need to worry that you in my armor is gonna start messing things up?" with an underlying genuine concern because, hey, it's me.)

Shippy elements? Moi? *whistles innocently*

And yes, "more canon" would be a beautiful thing.
