Coming home from India

We're flying west, window shades open, and the sun has been setting for the past three hours. I see two ovals from where I'm sitting, each a Rothko-rich layer cake of burgundy, orange, green and blue. It makes me sad that we have to slow down to land, that night always wins ( Read more... )

Wow. That would make a fantastic gravestone header, and you've done it with, one hopes, several decades to spare. It's an inspiration.

Welcome home. Man, you should be proud. And tired. But when you know you're coming in to rest, that kind of tired can be rewarding too.

Hope you get in some long quiet evenings by the fire and refinishing tables and good, cold, clear days before the new year. Take care.

I assume you are cagey about saying exactly what you've been up to in your globetrottings and creation of 2 year olds, but if you are at liberty to say/indicate, I'd love to know.

A quick scan of yaoobruni's RL-name blog would almost certainly answer this question for you. :-)
