Interesting. This sounds like it could be fun. *ponders on how it could work*

Maybe compile a list of source material (with individual summaries) and have participants claim which they'd like to work on ala reel_sga.

I'm exceptionally amused - someone suggested the same thing to me over on video_game_yaoi just a couple of days ago.

Oooo, I love this idea!

As for how we could make it work, hmm... I guess the easiest would be to compile a list (like you already mentioned). But then the choices would be limited and more obscure fandoms would probably not make the list, ya know? So I'd personally suggest that everyone gets to pick whatever they want, even though that's bound to end up all over the place.

Or, you could ask all participants to list a certain number of fandoms that they'd like to see. For example; everyone gives three "modern" fandoms (like FF7, Prince Of Tennis, etc.) and three "classic" fandoms (Gone With The Wind, Jane Eyre, etc.), and then participants can match and mix however the fandoms catch their fancy. But, again, that would mean the choices would be limited -- not to mention the problems with defining what's classic and what's not (I'd looooooove for someone to do a crossover with the Black Stallion books, but I doubt anyone but myself would deem it a classic).

I'm thinking of employing prompt submission as well as letting participants decide what they'd like to tackle. All inspiration welcome.
