I really like israeli movies too. i haven't seen "shlimi", but "yana's friends" was good. Check out two other movies that are pretty good - late marriage and walk on water.

Walk on Water - watched that movies twice. Loved it both times.

Late marriage - it's in my Netflix que. I just moved it up. Thanks for the recommendation
