I want Nine/Rose recs. Preferably nice hot steamy Nine/Rose fics. I was lamenting my sadness to leetje that there isn't enough Nine/Rose fics out there and she says she thinks it's because lots of people think Nine's not traditionally fanciable like Ten is. Here's my problem with Nine/Rose smut (and there is, in fact, quite a bit of it): I almost never dig the characterisation of Nine found therein. The Nine I know and love I always picture as being (in adult situations) sort of shy, gentle, uncertain. The Nine that I find more often than not in Nine/Rose smut is really over-the-top possessive, rough, and sort of borders on a ravisher. It doens't match what I have in my own head for him at all. So I rarely read Nine fic.

And I know talking to a few other peeps who write Ten/Rose but not Nine/Rose, it's not that Nine's not fanciable, it's that a lot of people can't really see him consummating with Rose. He's too fucked up himself. It's just not the right time for him, and then he's gone.

Having said all that, I do have a couple recs:

I think that sometimes too. That's actually my canon, I don't really think they started shagging until he regenerated. But another side of me says "wow Nine/Rose would be really really hot" and I want to read it haha.

Thanks for the recs. I do like Nine/Rose/Jack though I like mine more Nine/Rose with a side of Jack if you know what I mean.

Um...I kind of hate to do this as it's self-pimping...but I feel your pain on Nine and so here I am, pimping meself.

Post Match Analysis, followed by Yesterday is but Today's Memory are both Nine/Rose.

Erm...can't speak to whether the charaterisation with quite match your expectation, but hopefully they'll help your argument. After all, Nine is *quite* fanciable--but, as papilio_luna says, it's hard to write he and Rose romantically because Nine's just in the wrong mental place (and Rose is terribly young, emotionally, but that may just be MHO).

Oh, pffft, you know I've already read your Nine/Rose stories. I loved both of them very very much.

Like I said, I don't think they actually did shag until the Doctor regenerated, but every now and then I like to read some Nine/Rose.
