Oh hey look at that. Frank Lampard is miraculously fit enough to play for CHelsea today, even though he clearly wasn't fit enough to play for England 3 days ago. Miraculous healing, that is. Exactly. For example, Argentina and Barça have an agreement that Messi won't play in any friendlies because he's too precious.

And if you're feeling a muscle strain/etc, there's no point in making it worse if your next game is a mere friendly.

I see friendlies as an oppertunity for the reserves/B team/promising youngsters to try and break through into the line up.

Christmas. I'm still in my BAH HUMBUG phase at the moment. I'm only in the Christmas-spirit right before Christmas. And then during Christmas I want it to be over again. I have issues!

frank was willing to play with an injection, but capello sent him home after they found out about his ribs. chelsea's doctors didn't even know about his injury.

but yes, they all better be fit enough for actual qualifiers! there were way too many missing regulars...although the team assembled played rather well. (which friendlies sometimes do allow the young ones to show what they can do).

oh, a squirrel ornament - how cute!! also, thank you so much for not being THAT girl, haha! it bothers me so much when there's christmas stuff everywhere, and it's not even thanksgiving yet :(
