This was really informative and great review. I was currently on Jing Yong fever again. But I can't decide which version to watch when it comes to XAJH then I found your review online. I only watched 2001 and 2013 version in my childhood and I like 2001 version better too. I gotta' re-watch it again. Oh! btw, your review make me fall in love with novel version of LHC too. I love those happy go lucky and honest characters (better than proud or seductive ML).
I like both xianxia and wuxia. But in recent years, it's rarely find good wuxia story and adaptions. And of cuz, JY stories are still the best till today. And this is my personal preference only. Though I like romance, when it comes to wuxia, I prefer less Romance more Jiang Hu plot. May be that's the one of reason that I like 2001 version better lol.
