So sweet!! I love the idea, and it links perfectly well with canon. I actually never understood why Mello, when he sees "Deat Mello" written on the back of the photo, isn't shocked and only thinks "OH, THIS CAN ONLY MEAN THAT NEAR WAS THINKING ABOUT GIVING ME THE PHOTO BACK".

When I read that, I was "O_O; Is this Tsugumi's way to censor THE GAY from this manga? Making Mello say random things?"

But in your story, it makes sense that Mello would think such a thing, as he was the one who started it.

So it's a very good idea!
