A/N: You will probably need to read my fic Defences (at least the first part) for this fic to make sense. Defences is part of the Deal-series - but this fic isn’t. Not really. It’s more like a spin-off. *g* In Defences, due to some temporal mishaps, Nine and Jack run into Ten - but a Ten from a different timeline, i.e. not from the Deal-verse (

I still love this. It's so domestic and cosy and everything the Doctor claims he doesn't want, yet he sometimes seems to hint that he does. It's on his terms, in part: always travelling, always on the move, having adventures, running for their lives - everything Jack loves too. (The only hard part, for both of them, will be coming to terms with Jack getting old and frail, and dying. That is, of course, assuming he lives that long :( )

The changes in the Doctor are noticeable, but believable; he's not turned into someone completely unrecognisable, and even if he does open up more to Jack he still can't come out and say certain things ;) They're a couple, but still two very masculine blokes, after all. Who love to have sex together, and that bit is very sensual :)

Excellent work! I hope to see more in this continuity. And congratulations on finishing your first auction fic!

Yes, Jack getting old will be hard on both of them. :( But as a 51st century guy, he has quite a lifespan, especially with TARDIS medical care available. So I'm not saying no one more in this continuity... maybe it'll grow into a spin-off series. *g*

I'm glad you found the changes in the Doctor believable - I wanted to show how ten years of a stable relationship with someone like Jack would change him.
