Oh yes Rose was still in the danger zone. Although in that moment I felt more for Jack than Rose. How horrible to feel compelled to do something you know will hurt someone you love.

That ending was just wonderful. No matter how drug addled he is that utter confidence in the Doctor's love is beautiful. Everyone should have that.

It was horrible for both of them, yes, but probably worse for Jack.

The ending does show *real* deep trust and love, so it certainly does have a sweet quality, but if you consider how they got into that position... :(

That glimpse inside Jack's mind was heartbreaking. I'm glad the drug's sway over him is almost gone. I nearly said "glad the ordeal is almost over", but there's still the aftermath to get through, and I suspect that will be the most painful part for all of them.

You are not wrong... And yes, writing those bits was also hard. I felt so bad for him. Especially the part just before the scene with Rose.

Ugh, I keep repeating myself that I should wait until you post the whole story, cause waiting for the next chapter is playing mercilessly with my patience - but I like your stories too much and am completley unable to wait, as usual. As a result, I hardly can't wait for the next chapter and go back to your earlier stories in Deal verse to keep myself happy. Great work!
