Preachin' to the choir, man. I know if Nintendo released these games, I'd definitely buy Last Story, Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower, at the very least ( Read more... )

Korean movie theaters sound so nice. I really like the idea of assigned seating, especially since I'll probably have to get to the theater hours before Harry Potter starts if I want a decent seat.

The nice thing about assigned seating is that you can buy your tickets a few hours in advanced and then come ten minutes before the movie starts and still get your good seats. It's really nice. America does assigned seating for so many things, I don't really know why we don't do it for move theaters as well.

That's a hysterical video, and very well-done. I like how he didn't just make it an appeal with his own (huge) wads of cash, but actually pulled numbers.

If Nintendo really doesn't ever release the games here, I would probably say it's due to maintaining a family-friendly image (not sure why not Xenoblade or Last Story, but Pandora's Tower, while interesting, sounds the most gory of the bunch). I hope they do release, though. I want to see. I keep seeing really neat art/screenshots/gameplay for all three.

Um, they DID release Resident Evil on the Wii and 007 Goldeneye, which is a shooter. Not ALL games on the Wii are family friendly. X_X

Not to mention that the Wii already has No More Heroes where the main guy goes around killing people so he can sleep with this one girl. And then there's Mad World, which is pretty violent too. I don't think that's the issue here.

If nintendo's not gonna release them, it'd be nice if XSeed or even Ignition got the rights to release it in the States.

TF3 set up looks gorgeous ♥

I just know in USA the movie theaters don't assign the seat for you. It would be chaos if Harry Potter actually started. :\

It doesn't happen like that. Most people come to the theater early so they can get a good seat, so latecomers have to take whatever is left. There are also several previews before the movie, so even if the movie is supposed to start at 5:00, it won't actually start until after that.

It's very rare to have a movie start in the US where everyone is fighting over seats.

On the other hand though, it's nice not having assigned seats sometimes because then if a really tall person is sitting in front of you you can always move.

America doesn't do assigned seatings? o_o lol sorry for the culture shock moment. When me and my friends went to watch Harry Potter, the cinema was so so packed. It was the first time I saw such a long line for the tickets. And the tickets for the afternoon show we wanted to see were sold out, so we had to see the evening show. Worth it though, of course :)

No, and it's strange because we have assigned seating for everything else- plays, sports games, musicals, etc. Of course, with that kind of thing you pay more to get the seat you want. With movie theaters you pay one flat rate and you just find a seat when you go in. Most people come early to get the seats they want, though with something like Harry Potter it's really hard to find a good seat if you go opening night, even if you DO come early.

Come to think of it, one of our airlines doesn't have assigned seating either. Instead you are grouped together by letters. They have you all line up according to letters and you board that way.
