You could try, idk, setting aside a block of time that's purely for doing job-searchy stuff? I mean, I know you said freelancing would drive you insane, but that's one of the biggest tips professionals give for starting freelancers, to help them stabilize their life a little. Of course, that's assuming you're not already doing that.
I'm like that too. It's why when my family had that crazy spontaneous trip to St. Louis I freaked the fuck out. I like to have PLANS and while little things like SUDDENLY MOVIES is okay, a big thing like that trip really put me in my no-comfort zone.
Still, you're working really hard on finding a job and I'm impressed. There's only so much you can do on that front Kia cause I mean part of it is waiting to hear back and such.
Random trivia: they should have given you page 5 of this form and let you decide what document(s) you want to bring in to demonstrate your identity and eligibility for work in the U.S. If you have a current passport, that is enough by itself.
Point 1: Job searching sucks the hairy, sweaty balls of a monkey. There. I said it on behalf of everyone. If job searching gets you down, congratulations: you have a soul! :-D
