This is why I don't let my mind wander or think further in advance than a week.

The promised cut )

You start learning to really pay attention to sales on groceries. Also, store brand products? Really fine, and cheaper than the brand name stuff. I mostly go store brand these days and save a good chunk on groceries.

Iiii can't help with much else.

FINANCES:
Are you continuing doing some operator over the summer? If so, your hourly rate should go up, since you'd be a temp worker instead of a student worker. I get paid $10 an hour temping there as opposed to the student rate. :O Just something else to calculate in, even if it's not much.

CAR:
We have a spare minivan on our hands that my parents are looking to sell since we just got those two new cars. I am sure they would rather sell it to someone they know. If you intend to use it for awhile, perhaps you may want to consider buying our van? :D
Although some stuff to keep in mind about it: it's a minivan, so it's laaarge. It's got a lot of miles on it. While the van itself runs fine (few clunky noises and the speakers are crap), the heating and defrosting on it don't work. This can be really problematic if it's cold out and your windows are fogging up. HOWEVER, assuming you drive it mostly in warm, sunny weather (which is not hard to find in California) it's less of a risk.

Also, who's the second roommate?

You will make it. The first year after graduation is super hard (just giving you fair warning), but it gets a bit easier after that. I'll be on call if you ever need support. :-)

Mostly growing up is a lot of flailing around, making mistakes, picking yourself up, and learning to navigate the world more effectively through experience. It's not fun or super elegant, but you'll wind up all right in the end. Just take one thing at a time.
