My copy of Soul Silver came in today. I've been playing it for two hours now and having an absolute blast, and I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and give running commentary while I play. I'm about an hour behind, but highlights include:

Yeah, evidently Riley has it.

Thing is, I learned about it at the Pokemon Center when I went to go get him healed and un-poisoned.

Nurse Joy: Yeah, he's infected with some sort of virus called Pokerus
Me: I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HEAL HIM D8

...it took me a minute.

Supposedly it'll infect others in the party so maybe I can get another one infected and trade it to you...? \O_o/

The pokerus is a good thing! but don't worry about it. I already have some infected pokemon. You're just really lucky, since it's HECKA rare.

It's like, 1 hour into soul silver I found a shiny bellsprout. I what.

Yeah, my boyfriend told me it was a good thing. Didn't stop me from going WHAAAAAAT for a while, though. XD And I have heard that it's not quite as rare in HG and SS? Of course, I really don't know a thing about it, so. |D

He's already caught a shiny Ditto. I have yet to see shinies.
