Alright, guys, I have a couple favors to ask of y'all if you're willing to help me out. The first has to do with video clips. As you know, I'm cataloging the internet doing a crash course on internet culture for my class, and part of it is media-inspired memes. I'm looking for video clips that I can download, make into my own compilation, and then ( Read more... )

SaveTube will let you save a YouTube video to your computer in FLV, 3GP, and MP4. I did a test, and it worked for me. So, that can help on the downloading side. If you use Firefox, there's probably some extension that will allow you to do something similar.

Do you need the actual starting vid or other versions/parodies/examples of it? I didn't know some of these were more than just image text, and some of them are new to me. =o

And here is my puppetchibi drawing auction.

Ahaha that is fantastic thank you so much :D

The actual starting videos would be best, since I'm just starting my classmates out. I'm sure they'll be able to find parodies on their own if they go looking. Which ones are new to you?

I'm not familiar with these three:

Tony Stark built this in a cave! With a box of scraps!
Candlejack
THE MEDIA MADE THESE MEMES

As for videos, I'm familiar with the source of these ones:

THIS! IS! SPARTA!
Full scene (3:21)
Shorter version (0:16)

I'm real happy for you and Imma letchu finish, but
News report on incident, actual scene starts at (0:44)

I'm On a Boat
Music video explicit version (3:08)
Music video clean (Pepperdine safe) version (3:08)

IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND
Full scene (1:06)
Shorter version (0:16)

One does not simply walk into Mordor!
Partical scene, quote at very beginning (0:43)

What about the DRAMATIC PRAIRIE DOG? That one was pretty pervasive =O

There's also the CRUSHER but more people know the comic form of the meme than the video that began it

[Edit] Since you want clips: Dramatic Prairie Dog, and THE CRUSHER.

Also do you need the video clips? Is that what you're asking for?
