I figured Owen would die too, but Tosh was a complete shock. And, yeah, I lost it when her video popped up too. I think the whole Grey thing would've worked a lot better if the guy had been a better actor. Still, a good finale, though, like you say it makes me wonder where they're going next.
And I really liked Donna too! I was so relieved they made it clear Donna wouldn't be a romantic interest. I like it better when the companion is just that. I thought that was a brilliant first episode, I can't wait to see the rest of it. I'm excited for next week, being the huge Ancient Geek I am, but I'll no doubt be finding inaccuracies to frown at.

I'm glad I didn't know actually because I think it would have overshadowed the preceding episodes for me. I just wish that she'd told Owen that she was hurt, but it is like her not to want to worry someone when they are going through a crisis of their own.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Ashes to Ashes. I mostly like it for Gene, Ray and Chris. I don't feel all that strongly about Alex. I do like the harlequin from David Bowie's AMV, though. He's cool.
Torchwood impressed me so much. When you constantly put characters in harm's way, something bad has to happen eventually. They really hit home hard that Torchwood is dangerous work. I'll miss Tosh, but I sometimes felt they didn't know what to do with her, outside of her bad luck with guys.
I don't know if I'm going to watch Doctor Who any more. I love Donna (and Martha), but the fact that Rose has already shown up bothers me. It was hard enough for me as a non-Rose fan to hear her mentioned in almost every single episode last series. I may wait and see if I feel like watching it after the series is over. ^_~

Very, although very creepy at the same time! I read somewhere that David Bowie gave them the okay to use him for free, which is amazingly generous of him, I think.
