Not sure who chose those clothes and accessories...pi or the stylists. In Kurosagi, he chose some of his wardrobe (that black jacket), but I haven't read anything about his costume/wardrobe choices here. I'm sure he'll talk about it soon. I know the watch and backpack doesn't seem to be "his style". But I can definitely see him wearing that denim shirt in his private time.
