Chapter 6
The next morning, Yamapi woke up hungry. He went into the kitchen, passing Jin’s room on the way. He smiled to himself. What an oaf. That guy was still sleeping, and it was already ten o’clock. He must’ve been out late.
After rummaging around in Jin’s refrigerator and cabinets, Yamapi found some eggs, bacon, sausage, and rice. He began to make breakfast for two.
A few minutes later, Jin stumbled into the room. “What the hell, Pi, why are you up so early making all this noise?! I’m TYRING to SLEEP!!! Can’t you ju- is that bacon?”
Yamapi laughed at his friend. “Yes, it’s bacon. Would you like some?”
“Hell yes!”
“Good. I made you some. Would you also like the rest of the meal?”
“Do you even have to ask?”
Yamapi was just finishing everything up. He put the food on plates and placed them on the little table in Jin’s kitchen. Both men sat down and dug into the delicious food.
“So, I take it you enjoyed yourself last night with the girls.”
“Yeah, but Amber was sulking the whole time and Laura was getting all clingy… and then she wouldn’t even let me go back to her place! She said it was ‘too messy’. I didn’t want to bring her here, though, because I knew I would never get rid of her. Honesty, I-“
“Ok, I get it, it wasn’t that great.”
“I bet it would have been better if you came. Even if Myrah didn’t, you still could have. Honestly, it’s not like you would have been lonely, Amber would have-“
“Myrah is my girlfriend. I’m not going to cheat on her for a night of fun.”
Jin raised his eyebrows at his normally calm friend’s sudden outburst. “Oh, are you guys that serious?”
“I don’t know exactly what you mean by ‘that serious’, but yes, we are serious enough to only see one another.”
“Have you slept with her yet?”
“NO! She’s not that kind of girl!” Honestly, he loved his best friend. They just didn’t see eye-to-eye when it came to girls.
“Yeah, actually, she DOES seem a little too nice. Is there, like, a feisty lil thing in there waiting to escape or something?”
“I… uh, don’t really know yet…”
“And you’ve been dating for a few months?! What have you been doing the whole time?!”
“Look, I’d really rather not talk about it.”
“Why? You already admitted you haven’t slept with her, what else could there be to hide?”
“Well, if I told you, then it would no longer be hidden.”
“Whatever, I’ll find out eventually.”
I hope you don’t. I really hope you don’t.

Where am I? I- is this where I think it is?! Yes! I’m on top of the Tokyo Tower! But why am I here? How did I- Yamapi?
He walked up looking gorgeous, as usual. Did he bring her here? “Hello, Myrah.” He said seductively. She loved the way he said her name, how it just seemed to flow out of his mouth like his music, reaching straight to her heart.
Then, she realized he only had on a pair of sweats. Where was his shirt? Where were his shoes? It was late, and she knew he would freeze all the way up here at the top of the tower.
“Yamapi! Why are you dressed like that?! You’ll catch your death of cold!” As she reached to take off her coat, she realized she wasn’t wearing one. In fact, she wasn’t dressed much better than he. Why was she up here this late with just this silky nightgown on?
“Myrah, I love you.” What? She couldn’t believe the words that were coming out of his mouth. He loved her? Her heart skipped a beat. “Kiss me.”
He grabbed her and swept her into the most amazing kiss ever. It was indescribable. She was so incredibly happy and she felt her heart soar. His lips began to work their way down to her neck and he whispered against it “Please make love to me.”
She felt as if the whole world froze. This couldn’t be happening. She felt his hands rest on her shoulders and start to tug at the straps of her nightgown. Suddenly, everything began to shake. At first, she just thought it was only excitement, but then she realized it was much much more. The entire tower was shaking. She grabbed him and shrieked as she heard an explosion. He was grabbing her just as tightly. They would not get to enjoy any more time together. She knew they were going to die. The tower continued to shake and it crumbled beneath them.
Terror gripped her as they began to free fall and then-
She woke with a start. It was only a dream. Thank goodness. She felt the fear begin to subside until… the bed begin to shake! She cried out in fear, but then she realized it wasn’t exactly shaking. No, more like vibrating. Her phone! She grabbed it and, sure enough, she had a text message and a missed call. Raina…
She opened the text and it screamed at her “HURRY UP AND WAKE UP! CALL ME!!!”
She sighed… she didn’t feel like hashing out with her best friend right now, all she wanted was to get some breakfast and just relax today. After all, who knew how late she would be up tonight partying. She hoped not long, but with Jin’s reputation… you just never know.
Finally, she decided to just get it over with and call her.

“IT”S ABOUT TIME!!!!”
“Sorry, I was tired.”
“Why?! How late were you guys out last night?”
“Not late! I just wasn’t feeling very energetic last night is all.”
“Ok, ok. So, what did you guys do? Did Jin buy it?”
“We just had dinner. Yes, he believed every word. He had no reason to doubt us anyway. It’s not like Yamapi is known for lying, or that Jin knows me well enough to be able to tell when I’m lying.”
“True. So, nothing spectacular?”
“Not really. Just an average dinner.”
“Just the three of you?”
“Noooooo…”
“Who else?!”
“Uh… just a couple girls Jin brought along… that’s all.”
“Alright, what are you hiding? Spill it. Give me a minute by minute detail of what you did since you left the airport until you went to bed last night. And don’t even THINK of leaving anything out!!!”
Myrah sighed. She could never hide anything from Raina, as hard as she tried. So, she plunged into the events of yesterday with Raina squealing over the simplest detail…
-----
Eventually, Raina just came over. Myrah needed help getting ready for tonight. She was so nervous, though! She had never gone clubbing before! She had no idea what to wear or do! She hoped she could just follow Yamapi’s lead. She did warn him, didn’t she?
“Ok, what about this?” Raina had brought some of her older sister’s clothes for Myrah to try. Now, she held a pink sequin midriff halter top.
“Uh, I don’t know… you don’t think I wear too much pink already? Plus… that’s… kind of a lot of skin… I’d rather not…”
“Ugh, pink is fine. But I see what you mean by a lot of skin…” She dug through the bag again. Myrah began to look through her closet.
After a few hours of changing and digging, Raina finally pulled out a red dress. It was styled almost like a summer dress, sleeveless and very breezy. It felt like it was made of some kind of satiny material. Myrah tried it on. The soft material felt good on her skin. The dress fell to just above her knees. She liked it a lot.
“Well, it’s about time we found something!” Raina huffed, obviously tired.
“Wait, we aren’t done yet! I need you to help me decide what shoes to wear. If I should wear jewelry or not-”
“No. No jewelry.”
“Ok, but I also need your help with my hair! Oh, and not to mention my makeup.” She checked the clock. “And we only have a couple more hours!”
“Alright, calm down. We’ll have you ready in time, I promise. Now, for your shoes, wear your black pumps.”
“Ok.”
“For your hair… do you have an idea already of what you want to do?”
“Uhh… not really, no…”
“Ok, then let’s just curl your hair for now. Go change back into some regular clothes and then come in the bathroom so I can work my magic.”

Raina was playing with Myrah’s curly hair when her phone rang. You could look the murderous look in Raina’s eyes as Myrah grabbed it to see who it was.
“You better not be planning on answering that. I can’t do your hair if you have that freakin phone stuck to your ear.”
“But it’s Yamapi! I’ll put in on speaker so chill.”
“He better have a super good reason for calling ONE AND A HALF HOURS before you are supposed to meet him! I mean, really, this can’t wait?! If it was so important then why didn’t he call sooner?!”
Myrah had already hit answer so Yamapi heard every word. The girls could hear him chuckle through the phone. “Sorry about that. Yes, this is important. Myrah, we are going to pick you up instead of you meeting us there, ok?”
“Yeah, that’s fine.”
“Ok great. Are you almost ready?”
“She could be even closer to being ready if you would hang up. Are you done talking yet?”
“Sorry, Yama- I mean, Tomo. I had to put you on speaker. Raina is helping me with my hair right now.”
“That’s alright. I don’t think Raina minds as much as she’s pretending to. It’s not every day you get to talk to a superstar, is it Raina?” he teased.
“Wow, you aren’t very humble are you, Yamapi?”
This caused him to erupt into laughter.
Myrah then remembered, “Tomo?”
“Yes?”
“I feel I should warn you. I have never gone to a club before. I’m not even sure I’m going to be dressed correctly and I definitely won’t know what to do.”
“Really? Well, I’m sure whatever you’re wearing will be fine. There really isn’t a clubbing dress code or anything. And all you really are gonna do anyway is stick with me, so you don’t have to worry about anything.”
“Ok. I just… wanted you to be prepared.”
“Ok. Well, I better get off the phone before Raina really gets mad.”
“Good idea,” Raina agreed.
“Oh, that reminds me. I think you should stay there, Raina, until we pick Myrah up. She told Jin she’s staying with a friend so it would be good for Jin to see that instead of it looking like Myrah lives alone.”
“Sure.”
“Thanks. Alright, bye, girls. See you in a little bit. I’ll call you when we are on our way.”
“She’ll be ready!” chimed Raina.
“Just as long as I hang up, right?”
“Exactly. Bye.”
“Bye… Tomo.”
“Goodbye.” ~click~
