The more I read this story, the more I like it. I love the backstory you've created for Victor and Sherlock relationship, the way the relationship between Sherlock and John is affected by the present; I specially liked that John got Sherlock drunk to try and release some grief, I thought that was a nice and (why not?) a very male touch, even if later John ends up hugging him. And bringing Moriarty was great. He must have some serious pull if he can draw information on secret agents. I think Mycroft should be worried.
Are they returning to that crime scene where Victor's driving license was found? I'm curious about it.
Ok, I'll stop babbling. To sum up, I really liked it.

I like that you included Moriarty, though finding the ID must have been so awful for Sherlock. And I wonder what's going on in his head now, and how John will react - such a cliffhanger!

I'm really glad chapter 9 is up already, or I'll likely die here and now, what with the ending of this one (but I'm pretty sure I will anyway after the ending of the next one xD)
I'm already so curious about the things not on the emotional side (not that I'm not so about the ones on that side). I sneaked a peek at the prompt and so I'm dying to know what Victor has been up to 'cause he's not dead (please feel free to screen my comment if it's spoilery here :D), and I like it that you brought up Moriarty in Sherlock's head. I'd be thrilled if he will actually shows up (chances are he will, I feel).
As much as I wanna jump right to chapter 9 now, it's fun to just sit here and guess and imagine things. I think there'll be a large amount of drama it's more likely that John will think Sherlock's actions are on impulse and come from the hole in his heart where Victor was, and I know I'd love the angst it'd bring.
Okay, I'll stop my rant O.O xD
