*clutches hands to chest* What you don't write is almost as affecting as what you do write. When Sherlock confessed that his original plan was to only observe John and not revealed himself, you didn't go on to spell out what went through John's head at that moment. Without additional words, you managed to portray the "what ifs" John must have sensed and made his reaction to that confession so very palpable. You also added the prefect touch of humor to ease the angst. Thank you for another excellent chapter!
