I voted. Finally.

I voted today. Now for the rant.

If I could have just VOTED EARLY, I would have done it. Too bad my current state of residence isn't progressive enough to allow genuine early voting. Either that, or NO ONE TOLD ME I could vote early.

Waiting in line for an hour isn't the issue. Waiting in line at 06:00am is the issue.

I'm proud of your dedication to cast your vote! Really, I'm in awe when I hear stories like yours about waiting for hours to vote. I waited about five minutes at my polling place. If I had to wait for so many hours I can't say for certain that I wouldn't turn around and go back home. XP

In the end, getting up at oh-dark-thirty and waiting in line was worth it. New governor GET, although we city folk were overruled in the presidential contest.

I'd certainly vote early if I had the chance to without having to lie. :o)

You could have always lied about being out of town on election day and gotten an absentee ballot. I'm not sure how hard they check on that stuff.

I suppose I could've gone absentee, but I'd make sure to deliver my ballot to the courthouse in person. With the notary requirement and all, it'd probably take as long as standing in line at the precinct.

I'm just not a morning person, that's what it is. :o)

Being up at 6 am didn't bother me all that much (seeing as I left the house about an hour earlier than I usually do for work), even standing in line for an hour and a half didn't bother me much; hell, even my back cramping up after I finally got back to my car didn't bother me much.

Being sleepy, however? Argh. I felt like passing out by 5 pm.
