In history of psychology today a student conducted a survey for the department of student affairs. The survey was asking if we should have class this April 16th or not. Interestingly enough, we had this discussion about Freud in my Argument&Public Policy class, and we pretty much decided on the same thing for all those reasons, as well as the fact that during his time period since men viewed psychologists as "unnecessary" (they didn't need to talk about their problems apparently, since they were men, and men didn't do those things), most of the people that Freud listened to were women, and most of those were middle-aged women. And most of the time, they talked about sex (although I forget how we found this out). So all of Freud's theories are based off of biased presumptions, he didn't have enough evidence, or enough of the right kinds.
I like Karl Jung much better anyway.
