summer heat, summer cold

So now I am 40! The merry rheanna27 arrived in Rome to celebrate with me, which we did by tromping about various places (including Pompeii, oooooooooh). Pasta has been eaten, wine has been drunk, and a good time has been had by all. Sadly, the merry rheanna27 also proved to be the highly contagious rheanna27, and I am now nursing a summer cold. Interestingly, I spent my 40th birthday in Italy, too -- in Sicily. It was wonderful. I'm coming to Italy (and France) for two weeks in October with my boyfriend. I can't wait!
