since I can't think where to try searching for the information, I'm afraid they won't accept my question since I haven't actually done research I don't know where to even look. It's a question that unless you're in the field I'm not sure the answer would be out there....

I've got some answers from people more in the know than me ^_~

Above all I wanted to know if the doctor would go so far as to threaten sedation or over power the child with nurses and such.

Those were the first things that came to mind for me but I couldn't decide if that was over the top or not. From what I've heard it isn't, which is handy, cause I really didn't want the scene to end with the doctor just backing down.

Part one and two have already been posted, Beneath Watchful Eyes under my Supernatural section.

Unfortunately I've discovered that the scenario I'm working with is not 100% authentic...however after posting the first two parts I'm a little tied to the story that I have now.

I know people have been enjoying it so far, so I hope people won't mind is it continues to be a little vague...and perhaps bends the rules just a little [very tiny bit] ^_~

I think it would depend on the doctor (threating with sedation and such). I think they just might give something to calm the child down anyway esp if said child was difficult in the i-want-to-leave-and-go-back-to-the-person-who-you-think-is-abusing-me sort of way. Social services/CPS are honor bound to check all cases of suspected abuse even if the child/ren say they are not being abused this goes as far as setting up and keeping doctor appointments (usually the second step if they find recurring themes of abuse), unexpected visits to the guardiens home (usually the first step) and in some cases removal of the child/ren from that home and placing them in foster care (only when exausted all other venues (therapy) or the child is in physical danger or being sexually abused (comfirmed by doctoral reports)). And the doctor is honor bound to check said child for that abuse. Doctor/counsler-patient confidentality goes out the window on cases of child abuse and drug abuse.

*hangs head* I had no idea what sort of information I'd need for this fic. I never expected it to continue beyond the first chapter. Now I know that the second chapter [I posted a week ago] isn't as realistic as I usually want things to be...what can you do?

little_details helped a lot with information, I actually got to speak to a CPS agent, which is where I found out my problems...at least the readers don't seem to mind.

For the sake of the story I'm going to continue on, I'm hoping the doctor might be able to convince Dean to let him help...but I'm not sure how well that will work.

Silly me writing out of ignorance...usually I fake it pretty well ^_~
