Notes to someone real and someone fictional

To Kubo Tite-sensei.
Regarding the most recent chapter of Bleach (392): Really? These veteran captains and captains-turned-Visoreds are that stupid? Aizen is that powerful? Ichigo took that long to clue them into the fact that they were attacking Hinamori? Also, just when exactly does one become vulnerable to Kyouka Suigetsu? If Aizen has been ( Read more... )

All Shounen Jump this week is AMAZINGLY EPIC TROLLING on the part of all the authors. I kinda love it.

Also, I am seriously impressed with how unsympathetic Kishimoto is making Sasuke. That takes some guts on the part of an author.

It's like some sort of mass memo was sent out to all the SJ mangaka....
No kidding. Are there any readers out there still rooting for Sasuke?

I actually found Sasuke quite sympathetic longer than many other readers, allowing for the massive trauma of his childhood, etc...but then he took the revelations and learned exactly the wrong lessons from them and made it all into the Sasuke-centric asshole pity party, so now I am betting on the inexorable logic of shounen manga to give him the kick in the ass he so richly deserves. :)

I'm not sure when I started to actively dislike him. Granted, that sort of trauma is bound to profoundly screw up anyone mentally, but I'm sick of him being so hell-bent on revenge and willfully blind to what consequences he'll have to reap for his actions. I mean, what choices is he leaving himself? Say he gets revenge on Konoha--then what? What's left after that? Even if he were to be defeated and dragged back to the village and (for some godawful reason that I can actually see happening because it's frickin' NARUTO) not being hanged (or whatever) for high treason, he's alienated all the people who once cared about him. He would be a pariah. I'm definitely looking forward to the execution of that "inexorable logic of shounen manga" you mentioned.

THIS! Just - So much THIS! On both your points.

I haven't read Naruto for some time now but I can only guess what is going on there. Ugh. Can I say that I am fed up with his character?

And Bleach... yeah, I liked some parts and some made me shake my head and some I just ignored. Sorry but where is this all supposed to end? *grumbles*

Hahah, maybe we share a brain cell, given that we seem to agree with each other all the time. ^^;
Yeah, with Naruto I feel like..."Just STOP already, Sasuke." I wanna shake Kishimoto and demand to know why he hasn't killed the little turd yet.
Yes, I'm feeling Aizen is just a little too omnipotent. I think a good villain in fiction is one that has a known weakness and can be defeated but comes out on top anyway, you know?

My only big desire in Bleach is that Crazy Daddy Isshin shows up and kicks ass. I don't care what else happens, that needs to happen.

Oh my GOSH, I hadn't even thought of that! I HOPE HE SHOWS UP! "Ichigo, Daddy is coming to help~~!" (I know it wouldn't be like that, but the mental image is amusing.) That would be so amazing. And Urahara and Yoruichi need to pop in, too....
