I've been on eBay for nearly 12 years, and never had an issue aside from getting one cracked DVD in the mail. So, I recommend it to my friends for buying/selling, and talk it up when they express their worry over getting ripped off, or dealing with weirdo/asshole buyers & sellers and such. I once had a buyer on ebay who was upset because despite the listed shipping schedule (I had five business days to ship + actually shipping time and they ordered over the weekend), they became irate about why it was taking so long on that Monday after they ordered, that we were both in California, etc. Point of the matter was that I was actually in another state (New Mexico) when I shipped it...but there are buyers that are ridiculous, make a lot of assumptions and don't read all information before ordering. It's part and parcel to being a seller, but both ebay and paypal are very biased against the seller. As long as you walk their line tightly (always, always, always use tracking, take pictures of packaging, etc), your problems will be minimal, imho.
