About $3.29 at the saigon market on brookhurst and mcfadden. I didn't see if they had fresh, whole durian, but I just happened to see the frozen stuff in the freezer. They had all sorts of cool looking food to try there. I saw Andrew Zimmern (of bizarre foods on Discovery) take one bite and spit it out. I know Tony Bordain has eaten it on both Cook's Tour and No Reservations and he really likes it. If i have to be like one of them, I'll gladly choose tony.
