Stepchart Etiquette: Avoid massive cut and pasting.

Copying an entire stepchart and pasting it to another but changing a few arrows as shock arrows isn't fun. We've played the charts years ago and we want something new; not a rehash of the old. If the dreaded Paranoia MAX -Dirty mix- SMM Special Oni didn't teach them something what NOT to do (or ( Read more... )

you didn't like DDR oni? Really? It was such a good and fitting chart.

This is more of a personal preference. While DDR Oni seemed like a fitting gimmick that tributes stepcharts from previous Naoki songs (it was the first of its kind), it got old to me after a while (or maybe I enjoyed the Heavy chart a lot). Of course, this gimmick style was repeated on Paranoia MAX -SMM Special-, but I believe you know my opinion on that.

While you're at it, go hate on Paranoia Max heavy. The one that's been around since 2nd mix. That's a copy-paster.

Either I don't get this or you missed my point entirely. How is Paranoia MAX heavy a "copy-paster"? There's a major difference between revising copied charts and making them look different versus something that is obviously a replica of a chart (or charts) like the Pluto the First Expert/Oni comparison.

Either I am far behind on this (I started playing in late 2001 with DDR 4th Mix), but what parts (or entire chart) does Paranoia MAX Heavy (Singles or Doubles) rip off from?

I've given up on DDR as a whole. They are going to continue to drive it into the ground and make it worse and worse. I honestly dont want to remember anything after Extreme.

That's nice they have Rick Astley on there, but I'm more pleased that Chromeo was on there.

Looking at the Pluto the first Oni chart makes me hate the new DDR mixes over everytime it gets released. I would be helluv be happy if I played either 4th mix plus and Extreme.
