New OVA coming out with volume 14

Yup! You can go see the story here at Anime News Network. Basically, vol 14 of xxxholic will come with an OVA DVD, when it comes out 1/16/09. It's part 1 of a 2-DVD OVA. All the seiyuus seem to be returning for it, and it is being done by the director of the Tsubasa OVA and the director of all the xxxholic anime produced so far ( Read more... )

Hmmm...interesting.

What made me lol (can't believe I hadn't noticed yet) was that Watanuki's seiyuu is Lelouch in Code Geass as well. They're just so...er, different. *lol*

It's probably going to tie into the upcoming Tsubasa OAD since Ohkawa's penning both the xxxHOLiC OAD and the Tsubasa OAD, and since Ohkawa's responsible for the adaptation, both will stay true to the source material. (After all, who knows the source material better than the person who wrote it?)

Oh, and there's the same key staff involved. So yeah, both will be connected and will be faithful to the source material.

Probably. Just look at the wait we have to endure for the Japanese publication (volume 13 in June, volume 14 in January). The chapters are being published as a snail's pace.

I hope they stay true to the manga but I'm guessing it's too late now. They avoided talking about TRC. Hmmm...But judging by the website now maybe they will start to join TRC with xxxHolic.
