Ugh.
This was freaking fantastic. Everything just flowed together and mashed out a big piece of overwhelming heartbreak.
I love Matt. All of his 18 panels.
Self-destruction's always been my vice; and now can you say you're surprised, knowing what you do?
And this. This. Was awesome. I loved that you brought the self-destruction in to tie the whole thing together.

*Memories*

Well thank you! I was going for flowing and not-really-coherent. The heartbreak's just a bonus. XD
How could I not bring self-destruction into this? To me, it's one of Matt's character traits. I'm pretty sure it comes up in every fic he's featured in, and I'm not really sure why. I think it's the cigarettes, and y'know, hanging out with Mello. Because there's no way a sane, healthy person could put up with /Mello/ for so long.

...Who doesn't love Matt and all of his 18 panels? There's so much to work with!

This is lovely. <3 It makes me think of Tennessee Williams.

Thank you. It's sad that I had to look him up, isn't it? A familiar name, but I couldn't place it. But I don't mind A Streetcar Named Desire, it was interesting.Thank you for the comparison- but if you don't mind me asking, waht reminded you of his style?

:D The very first scene of "The Glass Menagerie," where the main character is standing on a fire escape and addressing the audience.

"The scene is memory and is therefore non-realistic. Memory takes a lot of poetic license. It omits some details; others are exaggerated, according to the emotional value of the articles it touches, for memory is seated predominantly in the heart. The interior is therefore rather dim and poetic...The narrator is an undisguised convention of the play. He takes whatever license with dramatic convention is convenient to his purpose.

TOM: The play is memory. Being a memory play, it is dimly lighted, it is sentimental, it is not realistic. In memory everything seems to happen to music. That explains the fiddle in the wings.

I am the narrator of the play, and also a character in it..."
