It cuz the way school work. All they do is ban the domain (www.livejournal.com) on their central region server..and then every school in Glasgow / North Lanarkshire or whatever region you are in, is automaticly denied access.

BUT, you can phone them up and ask them to take a site off the list.I had to do it because I needed to access a site for my computing project, and the website featured the word "MiddleSEX"....silly schools eh?
