I wrote a bunch of cover letters yesterday. I'm going to apply to a dozen places uptown. I don't want a job, but it's practical in so many ways to get one.

Did anyone watch the Oscars? Howl's Moving Castle didn't win best animated. *sad sad* Jon Stewart was funny. (Stewart? Stuart? I dunno.) I hate Ben Stiller.

In the Heat of the Night was on yesterday. I really love that movie. Say it with me now, kids -- "They call me Mister Tibbs!" I was thinking, they should redo that movie. Denzel Washington could play Virgil, and Anthony Hopkins would be the cop guy. Since the song was originally done by Ray Charles, a new version could be done by Jamie Foxx. (The appropriate reaction is, "Hehehe... hey, wait, that's not a bad idea...")

I'm working my way through All's Well That Ends Well. Bertram's a jerk.

I've decided that if I ever have kids, they'll be named Cressida and Alcibiades.

I started watching Full Metal Alchemist on Friday. It's sooooo good. Ed's not short, he's just vertically challenged!

I'm totally psyched about the Death Note movie. The website just got revamped, and really, people should check it out, even if they've never heard of Death Note, even if they don't speak any Japanese. (I really hope they subtitle the movie for theatrical release in North America. I'd go see it.)

The League of Extrordinary Gentlemen is on tonight. It's an alright movie, but I'll be watching it for one reason -- Stuart Townsend as Dorian Gray? Yes please!

death note, in the heat of the night
