Daddy Long Legs

As I was showering this morning I looked up and saw a Daddy Long Legs. And then this got me thinking. People tell you that they are not actually spiders and yet at other times the same person will tell you that the Daddy Long Legs is the most posinious spider alive (but their fangs are to little to do any real damage to you). Which is it?
