i'm so overly torn... because in my world, there are two different ways by which i think and live my life and i can't choose between either one... one of those involves limited views on things...basically thinking what's only in the box. the other involves the exact opposite... finding meaning in every minute of the day...thinking outside the box.

Just goes to show how education can really fuck you up. Why should you have to think in the box to get through college? That's something I hope to change.

I think I kinda know what you're going through... I felt similarly my sophomore year of HS. Like I wasn't getting enough out of school, and only going through the motions. So I dropped out, and homeschooled myself on whatever topics I felt were important. While it was a very good experience, I think there is still some good to be had from standard public education. Some things you study may interest you, others may not. Pay more attention to what does, but for things that don't interest you focus on the method by which you need to accomplish the task. I think research/studying and analysis are very important skills for whatever you want to do.
Start thinking outside the box and realize you can do both in college.
