The word "emo" is more of a fad than the actual style of music (which people can't seem to recognize).

Bright Eyes is indie-folk. Not emo. Crying and whining doesn't make it "emo" music, even if emo is short for emotional it is still a style of music and bright eyes does NOT play that style.
