Your insight is quite good. My favorite novels, shows, and movies definitely have rubicons... the ones with werewolves come at a point when they realize they are not human anymore. Never knew the name for it, thanks :)
There is a chapter of Bleach (I forget which, since I dropped that manga wayyy back now ^^;) called 'Crossing the Rubicon'. I looked it up and thought it was a really interesting concept. :)
I disagree, I think there is one in Ouran. When you find out Tamaki has a fiance and all about his mother, all of the characters change and the world gets very dark at the thought of losing the Host Club's leader. And we also see the biggest change in Haruhi. Just my thought on it.
I suppose that is true. I thought of that, but my conflict came with the fact that at the end...everything SEEMS to go back to the way it was. Hence, there was a return, past the "point of no return." But arguably, we don't get to see how things are at the very end, we just get a glimpse. So it's possible the dynamics have changed permanently.
